My Story
In 2009 nearing the end of the Great Recession, I was one of several managers released from my employer. Seeing it as a blessing, I thought "Great, I'll surf everyday and take a stab at playing poker every night". This went on a while but my ADD was unfulfilled so I picked up several hobbies along the way. I got a faceting machine and
In 2009 nearing the end of the Great Recession, I was one of several managers released from my employer. Seeing it as a blessing, I thought "Great, I'll surf everyday and take a stab at playing poker every night". This went on a while but my ADD was unfulfilled so I picked up several hobbies along the way. I got a faceting machine and cut gemstones. A lathe to turn wood. Dabbled with epoxy resins. I used software for digital design then bought a simple one color press to display those designs on t-shirts that I could wear. This caught the attention of others and soon I was doing printwork for other companies on the island. A coffee shop, tour boats, convenience store chain, etc which was awesome and allowed me to maintain my freedom. However, my greatest reward came from seeing my own creations being worn on the streets. Several years ago I began offering these original designs to the locals and visitors of Maui only. Now I am allowing anyone with a mouse and a keyboard the same access. Welcome to my store!
